Collaboration

This page is for access to team associated information and systems. You must be a team member and go thru the onboarding to get access. To join the team, submit a request using or contact form, and Dr. Seamon will schedule a time to chat with you.

Notion is used to integrate our entire team management process. It is a collaboration tool which we use to share informal information, tasks, project plans, and research notebooks, as well as to manage standard operating procedures, onboarding. It is the glue that integrates all our our processes so we can manage everything effectively. Access our secure notion site by downloading the app or going to https://www.notion.so/haclab. You will need to be added to the lab space to get access. Only team members are allowed access.

One Drive is an open source cloud based storage system, maintained by Baylor University. We use OneDrive for more operational and logistics file management, not data or analysis management. You will need an assigned login to access.

We currently have a private Github organizational account, where we collaborate on repositories which house our main modeling code. You must be an authenticated member of the team to access these private repositories, and have an acceptable level of competency in github version control, cloning, pull requests, etc. You can access this private github group here: http://github.com/hac-lab

We use LastPass for team password management. Request access via our team onboarding process.

We use Slack for instant messaging and informal team communications. You can access via the web using https://haclabworkspace.slack.com – with appropriate authentication. Request access via the team onboarding process using this form.

We use a mix of our own HACLab server environments, combined with Baylor’s Kodiak high performance cluster (HPC) for computational modeling. This entails having Linux shell access to our own in-lab servers as well as direct access to the Kodiak cluster and standalone servers. All of our work is done on the Ubuntu flavor of Linux – in R/Rstudio Server and Python/Jupyter Notebooks. After we have done localized model development, we can then port our code to Kodiak and parallelize as needed. All these services require login access, that can be requested using our onboarding process. Request access via this form.

Our HAC Lab dashboards are currently Shiny and Python Dash based applications. These are development dashboards, which allow our team to dynamically run models, and review outputs. These dashboards are currently not shared outside of the research team. Once refined and confirmed to be ready for exposure, model results can be pushed to our external dashboards and API.

We use Baylor outlook for team meetings and other important events. The calendar is typically updated once a week. You can view the calendar here, or integrate it with your outlook with permission
